Action King Akshay Kumar has decided to do his bit for the protection of environment. No he is not appearing in any videos to urge people to be more responsible towards Mother Nature. Instead Akki is writing a book for kids titled as ‘Soldiers Of Earth’.

The 48-page comic book has four kids with superpowers as central characters who protect the environment. Akshay will also come across in ‘Soldiers of Earth’ as a character named “Cause Champion” who helps the kids.

The comic book which is being designed to impart knowledge to the kids about the need to protect the environment was conceptualised by ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Company) and TERI (The Energy And Resources Institute).

Head of TERI Press and the Publisher of “Soldiers Of Earth” – Madhu Singh Sirohi tells, “Akshay has agreed to lend his support to promote environmental awareness among children. He has already created the story line of an action-packed adventure story for the comic book much like the exciting superhero novels of Captain America”.

Other than writing the book, Akshay will be featured in an animation clip about the comic book and also will be going to several schools for interactive sessions with the kids.
